Our story

Military Belts was founded in 2020 by former Royal Marine Michael Darley, on a simple belief: that the colours a regiment wears with pride deserve to be made properly. Rather than settle for cheap imitations, we partnered with Pampeano, the original polo belt makers, to produce regimental designs built to the same exacting standard as their signature pieces.

Every belt we sell is a genuine Pampeano, handcrafted by their master artisans and finished in the colours of the regiment it honours. That partnership is the heart of what we do. It means you're never buying a replica, but the real thing, made by the people who defined the craft.

A tradition rooted in polo

The polo belt was born on the fields of South America, where brightly woven leather belts became prized for both their durability and their style. In time they found a natural home in military circles, where regimental colours offered a powerful way to express loyalty, heritage, and belonging. Today's military polo belts carry that same tradition forward, with classic craftsmanship paired with colours that mean something.

Crafted by hand

Each belt is made from vegetable-tanned leather, prepared the slow, traditional way, and hand-stitched with wax-dipped threads for lasting strength. The signature pampa diamonds are sewn by skilled artisans whose techniques have been handed down through generations. The result is a belt that ages beautifully, holds its shape for years, and only gets better with wear.
